Escape: Psycho Circus is the largest Halloween rave in the world, and it's in your backyard. October 30–31, 2026 at the NOS Event Center in San Bernardino. Here's everything you need to know to prepare for the most theatrical night of the year.

At a Glance

Why Escape Is Unlike Any Other Festival

Escape runs at night. That distinction matters more than it sounds. Every other major SoCal festival is a daytime or mixed event — but Escape opens in the evening and runs until 3AM or later. The NOS Event Center becomes a Halloween theme park: haunted mazes, theatrical installations, actors in full costume throughout the grounds, and production design that transforms the outdoor space into something genuinely otherworldly.

The music is the same quality you'd get at any top-tier Insomniac event — but the context is unique. You're listening to techno headliners while navigating a fog-filled field with costumed performers and elaborate set pieces surrounding you. It's theater and rave combined.

The Music

Escape typically runs 6–8 stages across the two nights, with lineups that cover the full spectrum of electronic music. The main stage runs harder acts — techno, hard dance, hardstyle. Supporting stages cover house, trance, bass, and everything in between. The Haunted House stage is usually the most immersive setting, with programming that matches the dark, theatrical environment.

Lineup announcements for Escape typically drop 6–8 weeks before the event. Follow Insomniac on Instagram or subscribe to email updates at escape.insomniac.com for early access.

The Costumes

Escape takes costuming seriously, and so does the crowd. This is not a music festival where people happen to be in Halloween costumes — it's a Halloween event where the music is excellent. The commitment level ranges from full theatrical makeup and elaborate builds to a solid thrift-store fit with face paint. There's no wrong way to show up in costume, but showing up without one is an outlier.

Getting There

The NOS Event Center is in San Bernardino, approximately 60 miles east of Los Angeles via the 10 freeway. The drive from OC is typically 45–75 minutes. Insomniac provides shuttle services from multiple locations across SoCal — these are the best option for a night-into-early-morning event. Driving back on the 10 after 3AM is doable but fatiguing. If you're coming from OC, shuttles typically depart from parking lots in Anaheim and other central locations.

Tickets

Escape offers General Admission two-day, single-day, and various VIP options. Two-day GA passes represent the best value if you're attending both nights. Tickets go on sale months in advance, typically in the summer, and multiple phases sell out quickly. Check escape.insomniac.com for exact on-sale dates and follow Insomniac's channels for early bird announcements.
