Nocturnal Wonderland is the oldest continuously running rave in the United States. September 19–20, 2026, it returns to Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino for what will be its 30th year. Here's everything you need to know.

At a Glance

30 Years of Nocturnal

Nocturnal Wonderland launched in 1995 as a small SoCal rave. For three decades it's grown from underground warehouse party to the massive festival it is today — surviving the early 2000s crackdowns, the EDM boom, and everything the industry has thrown at it. The 2026 edition marks 30 years, making it a significant milestone event. Expect special programming, anniversary retrospectives, and one-time-only artist reunions.

The Music

Nocturnal has always been more genre-diverse than other Insomniac events. Unlike EDC's pop-EDM leanings, Nocturnal's roots are in trance, hard dance, and underground electronic — and the programming still reflects that. Each edition typically features 6–8 stages spanning trance, techno, house, bass music, and hardstyle.

The Labyrinth Stage is the jewel of the festival — an immersive underground-themed environment that runs the deepest, darkest programming. If you're a KEEPITIL reader coming from the OC and LA underground, this is your stage.

Glen Helen: What to Know

Glen Helen Amphitheater sits in San Bernardino County, about an hour east of LA via the 210 or 10 freeway. September in the Inland Empire means heat — temperatures during the day can hit 95°F, cooling to the mid-70s by midnight. Hydration is not optional. The festival provides free water refill stations at multiple locations; bring a refillable bottle.

The venue is car-accessible with shuttle services from multiple park-and-ride locations across SoCal. Insomniac typically announces shuttle pickup locations in Orange County, LA, and the Valley. Book shuttle tickets early — they sell out and the shuttle is significantly more efficient than trying to park on-site.

Camping vs. Day Passes

Nocturnal offers both camping packages and single/two-day passes. Camping makes sense if you're coming from LA or OC — the drive back after 3AM on the 10 freeway is miserable and risky. Camp Discovery, Nocturnal's festival camping experience, is well-organized and has its own stages and programming that run into the night. Day passes are available for those who prefer to drive in and out or are staying in the area.

Tickets and Pricing

Nocturnal typically releases tickets in phases with early bird pricing being the most affordable. Two-day General Admission, two-day GA+, VIP, and camping packages are all available. The festival sells out most tiers in advance. Monitor nocturnal.com and follow Insomniac's channels for on-sale announcements. KEEPITIL will share ticket links as they go live.
