Ticket Terms
KEEPITIL · Last updated 2026-07-11
⚖️ Starting-point terms tailored to KEEPITIL's ticketing. Confirm the specifics (fees, timelines, tax) with counsel and your Stripe settings before public launch.
These Ticket Terms apply whenever you buy or sell tickets through KEEPITIL. They add to our Terms of Service and Refund Policy. By buying or listing a ticket you agree to them.
1. KEEPITIL is the platform, not the event host
Unless an event is explicitly marked "KEEPITIL Presents," the event is run by an independent organizer. KEEPITIL provides the listing, checkout, and payment tools and acts as the organizer's limited payment-collection agent. The organizer — not KEEPITIL — is responsible for the event itself (lineup, venue, timing, safety, and honoring tickets).
2. Payments & fees
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, not to KEEPITIL or the organizer.
- KEEPITIL charges a platform fee of 5% + $0.99 per ticket, deducted from the sale. The remainder is paid out to the organizer's connected Stripe account.
- Prices are shown before you pay. Applicable taxes and any organizer-set fees are included in the displayed total where required.
3. Your ticket
- A ticket is a limited, revocable license to attend the specified event, subject to the organizer's and venue's rules.
- Keep your order confirmation. Entry may require a valid ticket, matching ID, and meeting any age or venue requirements (many events are 18+ or 21+).
- Do not resell, duplicate, or transfer tickets except where the organizer explicitly allows it. Duplicated or fraudulently obtained tickets may be voided without refund.
4. Event changes & cancellations
- If an event is cancelled, you're entitled to a refund of the ticket price per our Refund Policy.
- If an event is rescheduled or materially changed, your ticket is typically valid for the new date; if you can't attend, refund eligibility follows the Refund Policy and the organizer's stated rules.
- Organizers are responsible for communicating changes promptly through KEEPITIL.
5. Refunds & chargebacks
Refund requests are handled per the Refund Policy. Filing a card chargeback instead of requesting a refund may result in the ticket being voided and, for repeated abuse, account suspension. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method via Stripe.
6. Organizer responsibilities
- You must have the right to sell tickets to the event and to accept payouts through Stripe (completing Stripe's identity/payout onboarding).
- You must describe the event accurately, honor valid tickets, and comply with all venue, licensing, safety, and local laws.
- You're responsible for delivering the event and for refunds arising from your cancellation or misrepresentation. Chargebacks and refunds may be offset against your payouts.
7. Conduct & safety
Attendance is subject to our Community Guidelines and the venue's rules. Organizers and KEEPITIL may refuse entry or remove anyone who behaves unsafely or unlawfully; no refund is owed in those cases.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, KEEPITIL is not liable for the acts or omissions of organizers, venues, or attendees, or for the event experience itself. Our aggregate liability for any ticket is limited to the amount of the platform fee we received for that ticket. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
