WiFi Remote — Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 11, 2026
WiFi Remote is a TV remote-control app for iPhone. This policy describes what the app does and does not do with your information.
What the app collects
Nothing. WiFi Remote has no account system, no analytics SDK, and no advertising SDK. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, usage data, or device identifiers to us or to anyone else.
How the app works with your network
WiFi Remote communicates directly with televisions on your own Wi-Fi network to discover and control them. All control traffic stays on your local network between your iPhone and your TV. Pairing credentials issued by your TV (such as connection tokens) are stored only on your device, in the iOS Keychain, so the app can reconnect without asking again.
Local network permission
iOS asks for Local Network permission the first time you scan for TVs. This permission is used solely to find and control TVs on your network.
Microphone and speech recognition
If a future version offers voice search, the microphone and Apple's on-device speech recognition are used only while you hold the microphone button, and only to convert your speech into search text sent to your TV. Nothing is recorded or uploaded to us.
Third-party links
The app displays a banner that links to a third-party offer site (Freecash). Tapping it opens your browser. That website has its own privacy policy and is not operated by us; we receive no personal information from your visit.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
